The All Progressives Congress has intensified preparations for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections following a three-day strategic retreat in Maiduguri, Borno State, where the party’s national leadership reviewed its structures, discussed internal reconciliation and outlined a more active role for its National Working Committee in the election campaign.
The retreat ended on Saturday, September 26, after bringing together members of the APC National Working Committee, state party chairmen and other key stakeholders from across the country.
The meeting was held under the theme “Strengthening Party Organisation, Unity and Electoral Readiness Towards 2027.” The party said the discussions were focused on reviewing its organisational structures, addressing internal disagreements and assessing its preparedness for the forthcoming elections.
